Sports Premium

What is Sports Premium?

PE and Sports Premium is allocated to schools by the government, based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6. The object of the funding is for schools to be able to ‘make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sports that they offer’.

The current allocation is £8,000 per school, with an additional £5 per pupil. Our school is thus eligible for an additional payment of approximately £1,795, based on our current pupil numbers. However, for the academic year 2017/18 this allocation will be doubled by the Government.

  • In 2017/18 our school will receive £17,800.
  • In 2016/17 our school will receive £8,900.
  • In 2015/16 our school received £8,900.
  • In 2014/15 our school received £8,900.
  • In 2013/14 our school received £5,000.
