To end our transport unit in History, on Friday 5th April 2019, we visited the Black Country Living Museum and found out all about the different types of transport used. We met the horses, saw a Blacksmith making nails, climbed inside a canal boat and rode on a double decker bus! We really enjoyed looking at the old cars and learning about different types of engines. Well done children, you were a credit to our school!

Year 1 made castles at home out of recycled material to share with their class. These were then used in topic lessons.
Year 1 learned how CAFOD help poor people around the world. We shared our thoughts and feelings of what we could do to raise money and help others. We wrote prayers and put ideas in our pupil voice box.

The Hardworking pupils in Year Six were given the challenge of producing a Non-Chronological Report based on their local community of Smethwick. To support their writing, the children visited the Smethwick Heritage Centre. Alongside their exemplary behaviour, the students produced outstanding work. The class were a joy to take on the trip. Their enthusiasm for the project is evident in their work. Have a look!
